The Game

Spire of Malshire is a retro text-based strategy game based in PICO-8. 

Enter one of the five different towers and select who you want to be. Five varied classes await you each with their own spells, special moves, and stats. Will you harness the power of mana as a Robed One, or smite your foes as a Paladin? 

Regardless of your skillset, you will be pressed to battle a host of themed enemies with potent and unique abilities. Slaying such a foe will unlock the next floor and give you a powerful boon to enhance your powers. With over 600,000 possible floor combinations and 40 boons, your potential and environment will be ever changing.

If you choose your actions carefully, predict opponent moves, and get a little lucky, you may be the next great hero who gets to the top. Start now on the Spire of Malshire!

The Future

This game is currently in development. The base game is complete, but I am actively on the hunt for bugs, exploits, and balance requirements so I can improve the game. I am also looking for proper music to accompany the project. This is my first published project of many to come and feedback is everything.  Please tell me your thoughts, any ideas you have for mechanics or new abilities, what you liked and disliked, and any recommendations in the comments below.
